Follow Us On:

We source our food from local producers as much as possible, offering freshly cooked full English breakfast with a vegetarian option. For those who want something different we also offer alternatives such as scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and omelettes. Additionally, there is a full self-service buffet table from where you can start with a range of cereals, fruits, juices and yoghurts. We are very happy to cater for special diets, but please let us know in advance.

Follow this with toast and our own homemade preserves.

Relax on a comfortable sofa in the guest lounge where you can read, watch TV or play one of our board games in front of the cosy fire in the cooler months. The lounge opens out onto the patio, where you can enjoy the finer weather.

The bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms have benefitted from ongoing refurbishment and offer the highest standard of comfort and style.
Two sumptuous four poster rooms provide the ideal setting for that special romantic break of pure indulgence. We can arrange for champagne, chocolates, strawberries or flowers to make the occasion even more memorable.
Forest View room boasts both a bath and a separate shower in the large en-suite.

About Lyndhurst

Lyndhurst being the 'capital’ of the New Forest National Park is an ideal base from which to explore and enjoy this stunning natural resource. There are over 50 attractions and places of interest within one hundred thousand acres of forest and heath land - from Beaulieu (home of Lord Montague and the National Motor Museum) to Exbury Gardens and Steam railway. There are many beautiful walks and cycle routes in the forest where you will see ponies, donkeys and, at certain times of the year, pigs, all wandering freely and taking priority over motor vehicles! There are many country pubs serving delicious food and local ales, often found tucked away at the end of a quiet lane.
Visit the final resting places of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in Minstead and Alice Hargreave (the inspiration for Alice in Wonderland) at the church of St Michael & All Angels in Lyndhurst.

Cycle hire and horse riding are available locally. Should you wish to leave the car behind, you can take a circular scenic tour in an open-topped bus from May to September. Guests arriving by public transport can hire a two seater electric car (called a ‘Twizy’) in Brockenhurst. You will need a driving licence and be at least 21 years old.
At the end of an enjoyable day you will find that Lyndhurst boasts a wide selection of eating establishments, all within an easy walk of Whitemoor House. These include traditional public houses, Indian, Italian, Chinese and Fish & Chip restaurants, all offering an excellent standard of cuisine.  Booking is recommended, especially in high season, and we will gladly pre-book on your behalf.
